This Privacy Policy describes how Jukbox collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Jukbox mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

We share limited data with service providers that help us run Jukbox. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes, except as described in their own policies.

Music content displayed in the app (titles, cover art, and related metadata) belongs to its respective owners and is provided through these services subject to their terms. Your use of music data through Jukbox is also subject to the providers' policies, including Spotify, Genius, and Last.fm.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account inside the app. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your account information and personal content, except where we are required to retain certain records to comply with the law or resolve disputes. Backups are purged on a rolling basis.

8. Children's privacy

Jukbox is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us at privacy@jukbox.dev and we will delete it. The Service may contain user discussion of music with explicit themes; the app's age rating reflects this.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International data transfers

We operate in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries that may have different data protection laws than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

We collect the categories of personal information described in Section 2 (identifiers such as email and username, internet activity, user-generated content, and approximate location inferred from IP). We use it for the purposes in Section 3. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law. California residents may request access, deletion, and correction, and may not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Submit requests to privacy@jukbox.dev.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email where appropriate.
